Event Details

Sweet Charity will be presented by Peoria Players Theatre (located at 4300 N. University St. in Peoria) at 2 pm.   Tickets go on sale March 7th and are $20 for adults, $15 for patrons 20 and younger and are available at the Peoria Players box office, by calling 309-688-4473 or online at

With music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon, Sweet Charity is a tender, poignant and consistently funny look at the adventures, or rather, misadventures in the ways of love encountered by the gullible and guiless lady known as Charity Agnes Valentine – “the lady of the evening” who always gives her heart, and her earnings, to the wrong man. “Hey Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now” and “There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This” are just some of the well-known songs from this classic.
