The 2024 Peoria Bach Festival will take place at Westminster Presbyterian Church (located at 1420 W. Moss Ave. in Peoria) running from Sunday, June 2 through Friday, June 7. The Festival kicks off with an organ concert featuring Dr. Polly Brecht on Sunday at 4 pm. Daily concerts will begin at 12:05 pm running Monday through Friday. Then, the final Festival Concert will be held on Friday, June 7 at 8 pm with pre-concert lecture beginning at 7:15 pm. The concert will feature the Orchestra Suite No. 3 and Cantatas No. 82, “Ich habe genug” (“I Am Fulfilled”); No. 93, “Wer nur lieben Gott läßt walten” (“If Thou but Trust in God to Guide Thee”), and No. 180: “Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele” (“Soul, Adorn Yourself with Gladness”). Guest soloists are Courtney Huffman, soprano; Alison Meuth, mezzo-soprano; Trevor Mitchell, tenor; and Gerard Sundberg, bass. Jonathan Wessler, Tim Fredstrom, Martin Dicke, and John Jost will conduct. Admission to all the other events of the Peoria Bach Festival 2024 are free.
