Peoria Area Civic Chorale - An American Rhapsody Gershwin & Friends

The East Peoria Farmer’s Market runs on Fridays June 6 through August 29 (except on Friday, July 4) in the Levee District (on the Pedestrian Promenade located at 396 W Washington Street) from 4 – 7 pm each week.  Featuring fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, eggs, poultry, baked goods, and jellies and jams, all produced within the State of Illinois. Peoria Area Civic Chorale - An American Rhapsody Gershwin & Friends

Wildlife Prairie Park will present a Wildfire Concert featuring Barry Cloyd and Band at the park (located at 3826 N Taylor Rd. in Hanna City) beginning at 6 pm.  Bring your lawn chairs to experience a live concert in the great outdoors along with a special Keeper Chat with a Wildlife Prairie Park Animal Ambassador during intermission plus the animal trails and Prairie Zephyr Train will be open until 8 p.m.  Concert admission is free with park entry fee which is $15 for ages 13-64, $13 for 65+ and $11 for ages 3 – 12 or free for ages 2 and under or Park members.  For more information, visit www.wildlifeprairiepark.org

Barry Cloyd is a Midwestern based, award-winning, touring singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who combines his original songs with traditional songs, well-known and not so well known covers.

Community Children’s Theatre will present Shrek at Peoria Players Theatre (located at 4300 N University St. in Peoria) at 7 pm Wednesday through Saturday and at 1 pm on Saturday & Sunday.  Tickets are $18 for reserved seats and $12 for children ages 12 and under and are available in person one hour before each performance (if not sold out) and in advance at https://cctil.booktix.com

Shrek the Musical is a fun-filled, heartwarming stage adaptation of the hit DreamWorks animated film. This hilarious and exciting show follows Shrek, a grumpy but lovable ogre, as he embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona—only to discover that true love and friendship come in the most unexpected forms. With a cast of quirky fairytale characters, catchy songs, and plenty of laughs, Shrek is a fantastic show for performers of all ages.
