Marchtoberfest

The German American Society will host Marchtoberfest will take place at the Lindenhof (located at 7601 N. Harker Drive in Peoria) from Noon – 6 pm.  Featuring a buffet of frikadellen (German meatballs), Bavarian ham, parmesan chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, German green beans, cheese potatoes, sauerkraut, and side salad, cost is $14.  Kids aged 6 – 10 are $7 or $5 if they wear German dirndl or lederhosen (adults will get $2 off in German attire).  Dessert, assorted stollen, will be available for an extra cost.  Kids 5 and under eat free.  Entertainment will also be provided from 12:30 – 5 pm.  A cash bar, four German beers on draft and select German Wines will also be available. For more information, visit www.peoriagermans.net

Why wait until the fall to enjoy a German Oktoberfest? Marchtoberfest heralds the end of Winter and the start of Spring, much like Oktoberfest signals the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall.  The event is sponsored by Harmonie.
