Turas is a traditional Irish band from central and northwestern Illinois that has brought music from the “auld sod” to audiences from Chicago to St. Louis and in between for over 10 years. Running the gamut from contemporary and traditional ballads and pub anthems to lively instrumentals, Turas invokes the spirit of the rich Irish music traditions, while conveying an energetic 21st century musical style.
