Live at the Five Spot featuring Stephanie Aaron will take place at the Contemporary Art Center (located at 305 SW Water St. in Peoria) beginning at 6:30 pm.  Advanced online admission is $8 for members, $12 for non-members until 5 pm the day of event or at the door cost is $12 for members or $16 for non-members if capacity hasn’t been reached with advance online sales. Peoria native Stephanie Aaron has spent the last 20 years living in Chicago and building a reputation as a swinging vocalist and an exciting interpreter of music from the pre-bop era of jazz. Her love and respect for the greats of the genre have influenced her style and improvisational ideas as she delights in exploring unique rhythms and phrasing, often finding new meaning in familiar lyrics. Stephanie continues to perform in and around Chicago with the DePaul Alumni Big Band and the Bob Lark Septet as well as with her own trio in such famous and historic venues as The Jazz Showcase and The Rhapsody Theatre.
