GlobalFest Central Illinois will take place at Exposition Gardens (located at 1601 W Northmoor Rd. in Peoria) from 2 – 7 pm. “A cultural journey around the world”, the event is a family-friendly, educational event that celebrates the international diversity in Central Illinois. Guests will get their passports stamped at international ethnic booths, learn unique aspects of different cultures, see traditional costumes, taste international food provided by local ethnic restaurants, and enjoy artistic performances from a variety of countries. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for ages 13 – 18 in advance or $20 for adults and $10 for ages 13 – 18 at the door and kids 12 and under are free.
