Phoenix Community Development Services’ Gimme Shelter: A Night to End Homelessness will be held at the Peoria RiverPlex beginning at 6 pm. Participants are asked to raise $1000 for the “privilege” of spending the night outside in a cardboard box or in their car. Participants can be a part of a socially distanced, in-person event at the RiverPlex or can participate virtually from their home or other location. The event will also feature activities on the topic of homelessness, the challenge it poses for our society, and the solutions.
