Event Details

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will take place in several Peoria area locations from 10 am – 2 pm. Members of the SAP Coalition will be on-site at the Peoria County Jail, Kroger on Knoxville, OSF on Rt. 91 and the local police departments in Peoria and Peoria Heights to collect unused medications.  They will also accept vaping devices and cartridges.  There is no fee for this service.  For more information, call 309-672-6906.

For anyone with prescription medications (not needles) that need to be disposed of and can’t visit on October 26th, there are permanent drop-off sites at the Peoria County Courthouse, Peoria County Jail, Glasford Village Hall, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (Milestone and Glen Oak entrances), and the police departments in Peoria, Peoria Heights, Bartonville and Chillicothe.   The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (SAP), local law enforcement agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration are co-hosting the event.
