Contemporary Art Center - Nakatani Gong Orchestra

The Nakatani Gong Orchestra will perform at the Contemporary Art Center (located at 305 SW Water St. in Peoria) beginning at 8 pm.  Advanced online admission is $8 for members, $12 for non-members until 5 pm the day of event or at the door cost is $12 for members or $16 for non-members if capacity hasn’t been reached with advance online sales. The first set will feature an improvisational collaboration with Tatsuya Nakatani on percussion, Jon Byler Dann on standup bass and Yea Big (Stefen Robinson) on bass clarinet. A dynamic solo percussion performance by Tatsuya Nakatani follows. After a brief intermission, the concert will feature a performance of the entire gong orchestra, composed of 16 Central Illinois musicians.
