Community Children’s Theatre will present Disney’s Newsies at Peoria Players Theatre (located at 4300 N University St. in Peoria) at 7 pm Wednesday through Saturday and at 1 pm on Saturday & Sunday. The Sunday performance will be signed for the deaf and hard of hearing. Based on the New York City Newsboys’ strike of 1899, the newsies form a union and strike against the greedy publisher of the New York World. Tickets are $18 for reserved seats and $12 for children ages 12 and under and are available in person one hour before each performance (if not sold out) and in advance at https://www.cctpeoria.org
