The Partnership for a Healthy Community – HEAL Food System Partners Program will host the Central Illinois Nutrition Security Summit will take place at the Spalding Pastoral Center (located at 419 NE Madison Ave. in Peoria) on Wednesday from 8:30 am – 5 pm and Thursday from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. The goal of the Central Illinois Nutrition Security Summit is to bring together all those interested in ensuring every member of our community has an equitable ability to find, utilize, and consistently access enough safe, nutritious foods for their optimal health and well-being. In recognition that the issue of nutrition security is so multi-faceted, summit developers envision a diverse audience at the summit coming from all sectors including but not limited to schools, early childcare, senior agencies, healthcare, elected officials, city/county government, charitable food partners, health departments, social service agencies, interested community members, etc.
