The Central Illinois Jazz Society’s February show will feature Water Street Stompers at the Trailside Event Center (located at 4416 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria Heights) from 6 – 8:30 pm. The CI Jazz House Band directed by Larry Harms opens the show. In the spirit of Mardi Gras, enjoy a set of traditional New Orleans Jazz. The Stompers, directed by Bradley Music Department Chair Todd Kelly (Trumpet), is dedicated to performing traditional New Orleans Jazz from the 1920s. The band also features Harlan Geiser on trombone, Doug Stewart on sax and clarinet, Carl Bopp on piano, Jason Shea on bass and Jeremy Clark on drums. Admission is $8 for CIJS members, $12 for the public and students are free. You may bring your own snacks, however no beverages which will be available for purchase.
