Central Illinois Jazz Society’s May show will feature Derel Monteith at the Trailside Event Center (located at 4416 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria Heights) from 6 – 8:30 pm. Celebrate and experience the music of Wayne Shorter at a concert devoted entirely to his compositions. Derel Monteith on keyboards will lead two bands, which will include Dan Burke and Joel Linscheid on saxophone, Matt Buczko on trumpet, Scott Anderson on guitar, Andy Crawford on bass, and Jason Brannon on drums. Admission is $8 for CIJS members, $12 for the public and students are free. You may bring your own snacks, however no beverages which will be available for purchase.
