TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - Manpower
SUMMARY
Answers in-bound calls to provide customer service and troubleshooting support for various call center programs; performs outbound calls to customers for follow up. Answers escalated High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) calls, and performs associated tasks associated with level I troubleshooting responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Answers in-bound calls for various programs providing customer service and technical support.
· Performs outbound calls for follow up to customers.
· Records accurate information of call in appropriate call application.
· Maintains individual call center statistical requirements as established by department.
· Troubleshoots HSIA related system and software issues.
· Proactively and remotely monitors HSIA infrastructures.
· Appropriately and timely responds to system alerts.
· Prepares and maintains documentation.
· Participates in HSIA training of call center employees.
· Motivates others.
· Maintains confidentiality at all times.
· Adheres to schedule.
· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months customer service related experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Proven written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
· Customer service experience.
· Intermediate to advanced computer skills in a Windows environment.
· Basic to intermediate typing ability.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve objectives within established time frames.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
· Intermediate knowledge of HSIA infrastructures and devices.
· Intermediate ability to understand technical information.
· Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer networking and operating system configurations.
· Prior experience in handling level I troubleshooting of HSIA calls preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Work requires the ability to stoop and bend, ability to reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity, and the ability to communicate with others. Work requires ability to use a keyboard to enter and transform words or data. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit and walk around call center. The work requires ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Position works in a call center business environment with moderate noise level.

Shifts Available

· 11pm –7:30pm
· 11:30 – 8am
· 7pm-3:30am
· 4:30pm- 1am or later

All shifts require weekends
