The 2008-2009 Season has not yet been announced, but will be posted as soon as possible.  All productions take place at the Hartmann Center for Performing Arts.  Tickets are available by calling 677-2650.  For more information, click HERE.

Corn Stock's summer season continues June 20-28 with the comedy The Odd Couple. Disney's Beauty & the Beast runs from July 11-19 followed by A Chorus Line is August 1 - 9. The final show of the Tent season is On Golden Pond running from Ausust 22 through the 30th. Season tickets are $62 and are on sale now. Individual t icket prices are $17 for adults and $12 for students for musicals and $11 for adults and $9 for students for non-musicals. For more information, call 676-2196.

Located in the East Peoria High School Auditorium, Eastlight offers 5 shows annually including their YouthLight show featuring students 22 and under.
The 2008 Season continues with The Producers, the smash Mel Brooks hit, will take the stage June 20, 21, 25, 26, 27 & 28 at 7:30 pm and June 22 at 2 pm. Running August 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 & 9 at 7:30 pm and August 3 at 2 pm is Elton John's Aida. Then,for it's 18th year, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat runs December 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 & 13 at 7:30 pm and December 7 & 14 at 2 pm. The YouthLight show is yet to be announced and will run September 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 & 13 at 7:30 pm and September 7 at 2 pm.

A newcomer to the local theatre scene, Art Light Productions of Glassford will present Catch-22 written by Joseph Heller co-directed by Jeff Driscoll & Rachel Waters on July 17, 18, 19 at 7:30 pm. They'll also present a Night at the Improv featuring improv comedy sketches on June 6th at 7:30 pm. All productions are held at Illini Bluffs High School's auditorium.

The Illinois Central College Guest Artists Subscription Series for 2008-09 Season begins with Simply Sinatra starring Steve Lippia on Saturday, August 23 at 7:30 pm at the ICC Performing Arts Center. The Magic of Bill Blagg III follows on Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 pm. An Evening with Linda Davis will be on Saturday, January 17, 2009. Alfredo Rolando Ortiz with his South American Harp sound will perform on Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 pm and the season ends with the Tapestry Dance Company's "The Sounds of our Feet" on Sunday, April 5, 2009. The 2008 Summer Illinois Shakespeare Festival Season begins on June 25th with the opening of Taming of the Shrew. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) opens on June 26 and Titus Andronicus opens on July 17. All performances take place at Ewing Cultural Center at 48 Sunset Road in Bloomington. The 2008-2009 Peoria Area Civic Chorale season begins with An American Family Christmas at the Peoria Civic Center Theater on Dec. 19 and 20 at 7:30 pm and the 21st at 2:30 pm.

he Peoria Ballet's 2008-2009 season includes T he Nutcracker December 13 & 14, 2008 and Giselle March 7, 2009. Both will be at the Civic Center Theater. Erich Yetter is artistic director.

The Broadway Theater Series for the 2008-2009 Season has been announced as follows: Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes November 17-18, 2008, The Drowsy Chaperone February 24 & 25, 2009, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee March 31 & April 1, 2009, Monty Python's Spamalot January 13-18, 2009, and a season extra, Mamma Mia! The oldest continuously-running community theatre in Illinois & the 4th oldest theatre in the nation, Peoria Players Theatre Their Youth Theatre show will be The Wiz August 7-10. The 2008-2009 Season includes Miss Saigon September 5-7 & 10-14, 2008, Moon Over Buffalo October 3-5 & 8-12, 2008, Forever Plaid November 7-9 & 12-16, 2008, Annie Get Your Gun February 6-8 & 11-15, 2009, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest March 13-15 & 18-22, 2009 and Man of La Mancha May 1-3 & 6-10, 2009. The special show, Christmas in the City, returns again December 18-21, 2008.

The Peoria Symphony Orchestra's 2008-2009 Season includes Romantic Rhapsody on Sept. 13, Beyond Baroque Oct. 25, Symphonic Scandinavia on Nov. 22, Ellington Elegy on Jan. 24, Time for Three on Feb. 14, Images of the West on Marcy 28, Beethoven IX on April 25 and An Evening with Mark O'Connor on May 2.  Tickets for the season are on sale now: single show tickets and 4-concert packages go on sale July 15.  All performances are at the Peoria Civic Center Theater.
