You must register as a free user and be logged in to submit an event. Once you’ve created a free user account, you must login, then click on the events calendar link. You may need to advance to the next month or later using the “next month” button above the search button on the upper right of the calendar. Then, click on the number of the day of the event and a form will pop up for you to complete. If the event is a multiple day event, under the “Repeat When?” field, select on a daily basis & type in the number of days under the “for this many days” field.
Once you submit your event, it must be approved by ExplorePeoria.com management. All legitimate events will be approved. ExplorePeoria.com reserves the right to edit or remove any calendar posts. PLEASE NOTE: If we feel that 50 or fewer people will attend the event, we probably won't approve it for viewing on our calendar. We want to help promote your event, but space is limited and we want to serve our visitors by including events that are likely to be appealing to a mass audience. This is at the management's discretion and we appreciate your understanding.
ExplorePeoria.com's event listings are all written in paragraph form: please write your listing in that format as well using full sentences. This is to simplify the process when including listing information in our weekly e-newsletter.
Please make sure to include all pertinent information such as start time, price, location and a phone number or web address for more information. If your event listing does not contain this information, it will not be approved until we receive this information to add to your listing.
Please don't use flowery, hypey language and excessive use of explanation points in your listing. We use a news-style format in full sentences (as opposed to bullet points) and appreciate it if you follow our format as well to avoid the necessity of editing your listing prior to it being approved. Please put the most important pieces of information about your event at the beginning of your listing (time, place, price, phone number to call and website url for more information).
IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW OUR EDITORIAL GUIDELINES, IT WILL TAKE LONGER FOR YOUR EVENT TO BE APPROVED AS IT REQUIRES MORE TIME TO EDIT.
Also, please feel free to upload a calendar icon image as well as an event listing pop-up image by clicking the Upload My Event Icon and Image link located just above the "Post Event" link by clicking the "browse" buttons to find the image(s) on your computer. You may use the same image for both uploads.
Images must be a gif, .jpg, .png and no larger than 341 kb in size.
