I am a Regional Advisor for International Student Exchange (ISE) which is a non-profit organization that works with high school age students. Our program allows students from more than forty countries to become familiar with the American way of life by experiencing its schools, homes and communities. Our organization helps make their dreams come true!
I am looking for host families that will allow one (or two) of these students to live in their home this school year (2007-08). To be an ISE host family, you must be able to provide a warm and loving home with full room and board. Students may share a room with a sibling of the same sex (if their ages are close).
We ask that our families treat their student as they would their own; with love, concern, kindness and the little extra parenting which helps a youth grow into adulthood. An ISE Representative will always be available should you have any questions or concerns.
If you are interested, I will secure school approval and assist you to make this the experience of a lifetime.
Students have their own spending money ($300 per month) to take care of their own personal expenses. (Personal needs, book fees, lunches and entertainment if they go out with friends.)
Students have their own health insurance.
Please open your heart and your home for one (or two) of these students. If you know anyone who would be willing to help me by hosting a student(s), please pass this information on to them. (Family and Relatives-Sunday School Classes-Church Congregation-Co-workers-Library Personnel- Nurses-Doctors and Doctors Office Personnel-Home Schooling Families-- anyone you can think of)
If you have a news letter or bulletin you could put a note in, I would certainly appreciate it. Could you put a note on your bulletin board or in your lunchroom-break room? If you are a Teacher, Secretary, Principal or Administrator, could you send a note home with your students that I am looking for Host Families? Would you ask your Foreign Language teachers to announce to their students that I am searching for Host Families?
